Iced coffee can differ around the world depending on where you are. Some countries versions of iced coffee are not even close to others. However, one thing that all of these iced coffees have in common is that they are incredibly delicious.

Ca phe sua is a Vietnamese coffee that when translated, means iced milk coffee. Ca phe sua is created by mixing a dark French roast coffee that typically includes an implementation of chicory with around a quarter or half as much sweetened condensed milk. The mixture is then poured into a glass over ice cubes.

When creating this coffee drink, the coffee is brewed using a small drip filter into a cup that is already holding the sweetened, condensed milk. The blend of condensed milk and coffee are then mixed together before being poured over the ice.

If you are looking for a fabulous European recipe for iced coffee the following one is designed to delight. To create your own European iced coffee, you will need-

Milk
Ice Cubes
Water
Sugar
1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee

In a shaker, place your instant coffee, water and ice cubes. You also add the amount of sugar that you desire to this blend. Give the shaker several hard shakes and then pour the mixture into a fluted glass ensuring that the top of your beverage is frothy. Add milk to your own desired taste preferences.

Thai iced coffee is a scrumptious iced coffee drink that is loved in Thailand as well as in the rest of the world. Like with most other iced coffee recipes, there are a few different ways a Thai iced coffee can be made. This delicious iced coffee can be modified to suit anyone’s taste preferences.

The following Thai iced coffee recipe will give you a base to work from so that you can experiment and create the type of Thai iced coffee that suits your the best.

To make Thai iced coffee at home, simply brew a pot of coffee ensuring that it is made very strong. Typically you should use about a hundred percent more coffee compared to water than you would use when brewing an average pot of coffee.

The coffee you use when making Thai iced coffee should be a blend that is infused with chicory for the proper flavor. When your coffee is finished brewing, pour about eight ounces of the java into a cup and then add about a tablespoon of sweetened, condensed milk.

Stir this blend very well and then pour into another glass that has been filled with ice cubes.

There is another recipe for Thai iced coffee that is not only wonderfully tasty, but is also a lot more like what you would get if you’re ordered an iced coffee in a Thai eatery.

This type of Thai iced coffee is known as oleng and is a lot stronger than the previous recipe. As with all iced coffee, this recipe too can be modified to suit your particular taste.

To create a restaurant style Thai iced coffee you will need to put about six cardamom pods into your coffeepot along with eight tablespoons of dark roast coffee. Continue brewing as you normally would and add sugar to taste.

When using a regular coffee maker as apposed to a French press or espresso machine, you will want to use approximately half the amount of water typically used when making a regular pot of coffee. The reason for this is that you want the coffee to be very strong.

When finished brewing, fill a glass with ice and then pour in your coffee. Make certain that you leave about a half inch worth of room at the top of the glass so that you can pour in a touch of half-and-half cream.

Regrettably, one of the many health and coffee issues are the health risks to people in some countries and how it affects their ability to drink coffee safely. Doctors and health care officials have been taught that coffee is an unhealthy beverage to drink. These teachings have been based on 40+ year old research methods which have been shown by current research to be incorrect. But, since the doctors are not current on these new facts, they convey the inaccurate picture of coffee as being unhea…

Depending on whom you ask, chicory can be either a substitute for or a great addition to a cup of coffee.

The chicory plant flowers at about two to three feet tall and the roots of a chicory plant are dried and then roasted. The resulting material is then used as a flavorful addition to a cup of coffee or as a replacement for your cup of java. Although chicory was originally from the British Isles, chicory can now be found virtually all over the world.

The preparation of chicory is an interesting process. The aged, heavy roots of the plant are taken and washed thoroughly. After cleaning, they are cut into tiny slices and dried in a kiln. At this point, the substance is sold to someone who is a chicory roaster.

The chicory roaster takes the material and continues roasting the substance until it reaches a dark brown shade. When it is ground, it appears very similar to coffee. There are some noticeable differences however.

Chicory does not smell the same as coffee does, which can seem a disadvantage to some. After all, aroma means a lot to our senses. Also, chicory does not contain alkaloid caffeine, which is found in coffee either. It depends on whom you ask if these are good or bad virtues concerning chicory.

Regardless of these facts, chicory has been used for a very long time as both a substitute for as well as an addition to coffee.

Chicory provides coffee with a more intense flavor, and body while offering a bitterness that many enjoy. Many places enjoy using chicory in their coffee or drinking it independently. In Belgium particularly, chicory is often consumed in place of a cup of coffee.

History says that it was Napoleons chef who became aware that roasted chicory root could be used in place of coffee. These days, it is a favorable supplement for coffee or a major part of the blend of certain coffees sold.

There are two chemicals in chicory– lactucin and lactucopicrin that are believed to thwart the effects of caffeine because they have the effect of a sedative on one’s central nervous system. Therefore, when combined your body may feel balanced out, as the caffeine will hype you up while the chicory calms you down. This may be a good blend for those who find themselves jittery from too much caffeine.

Chicory is a very strong perennial and is simple to grow right in your home garden. The reason it is so easy to grow is because it can thrive in virtually any type of condition as long as some seeds are planted in your garden around April or May.

You will want to find a chicory plant and locate the brown seedpod. If the pods are open, you know that the seeds are ripe. All that you need to do is to cut a branch of the pods and carefully pour the seeds onto a page of newspaper. The seeds then need to be stored in a container that is completely airtight. A sealed envelope can be a good substitute for an airtight container.

In the springtime, plant your seeds and bury them in about a half of an inch of dirt. When they have germinated, you will be apt to find that they need to be thinned out. Thin your chicory to allow them to be approximately 12 inches away from one another.

If you are going to find it necessary to transplant your chicory, you will want to do this early on. Chicory contains incredibly deep taproots that rebel against being disrupted once they have grown even a little.

In the fall, you simply gather your chicory roots and grind them. They can then be used as a delicious coffee substitute or as a flavorful addition to your current blend of brew.

Although the Mocha is coffee based beverage, many serious coffee drinkers consider this beverage to be an awfully ‘fu-fu’ concoction.

Mocha is in fact a type of coffee bean that is from the Yemeni port and became well known in Europe as offering a very smooth taste to coffee. However, this still does not take away the fact that many think that Mocha is not like a ‘real’ cup of coffee.

The reason for that is that when you buy a Mocha beverage in a coffee shop or cafe, you are not getting a typical cup of java that has been made by using Mocha beans. What you are in fact served is a beverage that combines coffee and cocoa.

Many dispute the fact that the Mocha is considered to be a ‘fu-fu’ coffee. They point out the fact that Mocha is a top quality bean and very gourmet. They also say that since the Mocha is a specialty coffee beverage that this makes it just as important as any other coffee drink.

Many Americans love drinking Mocha’s as they are sweet and scrumptious. The popularity of the Mocha is due in large part to large coffee chain stores opening up all over the country that sell dozens of Mocha’s on a daily basis.

American’s also seem to really love the variety of the Mocha. There are countless combinations you can make to create a delicious Mocha coffee beverage. With a typical Mocha, you are offered the jolt of espresso balanced beautifully with the sweetness of chocolate.

A Mocha is geared to please your taste preferences and palate. The Mocha can be made hot and sipped slowly or can be purchased cold over a bed of ice. No matter which way you prefer your Mocha, there is no doubt this beverage is designed to delight.

At your typical coffee shop or cafe, when you order a Mocha, you are apt to be served a hot beverage. This is made by mixing a shot of espresso with milk that has been steamed and chocolate. The only downfall of ordering Mocha for many is the cost.

That small detail can be easily remedied by making your own Mocha coffee drinks right at home. They taste like they take hours and are complicated to prepare, but thankfully, nothing could be further from the truth.

There is countless Mocha coffee recipes to be found. The ideal idea is to experiment with different variations and blends to find the ones that you like best. The great part about doing that is being able to taste all of the delicious concoctions that you come up with.

To create six wonderfully creamy cups of Mocha coffee right in your own home, you will need to-

Brew a cup of coffee using an espresso machine. If you do not have an espresso machine, simply brew your coffee as you normally would.

On your stovetop, heat up two cups of milk.

You can use any type of chocolate in your Mocha. Take the chocolate of your choice and place three tablespoons into your milk and stir until the chocolate and milk are blended very well.

Once the chocolate and milk are mixed well, pour in your coffee and stir the entire mixture together.

Keep stirring until your blend of milk, chocolate and coffee has reached the temperature you want it to be.

At this point, all that is left for you to do is pour the blend into a cup, and enjoy your Mocha coffee.

This of course is just a simple, basic Mocha coffee recipe. There are many ways you can personalize and change up this blend to create taste combinations that you love. Simply adding spices such as cinnamon or even flavored candies will completely change the taste and make other wonderful Mocha coffee beverages.
