The Mocha – Why Some Consider It an American “Fu-Fu†Coffee
Mocha is in fact a type of coffee bean that is from the Yemeni port and became well known in Europe as offering a very smooth taste to coffee. However, this still does not take away the fact that many think that Mocha is not like a ‘real’ cup of coffee.
The reason for that is that when you buy a Mocha beverage in a coffee shop or cafe, you are not getting a typical cup of java that has been made by using Mocha beans. What you are in fact served is a beverage that combines coffee and cocoa.
Many dispute the fact that the Mocha is considered to be a ‘fu-fu’ coffee. They point out the fact that Mocha is a top quality bean and very gourmet. They also say that since the Mocha is a specialty coffee beverage that this makes it just as important as any other coffee drink.
Many Americans love drinking Mocha’s as they are sweet and scrumptious. The popularity of the Mocha is due in large part to large coffee chain stores opening up all over the country that sell dozens of Mocha’s on a daily basis.
American’s also seem to really love the variety of the Mocha. There are countless combinations you can make to create a delicious Mocha coffee beverage. With a typical Mocha, you are offered the jolt of espresso balanced beautifully with the sweetness of chocolate.
A Mocha is geared to please your taste preferences and palate. The Mocha can be made hot and sipped slowly or can be purchased cold over a bed of ice. No matter which way you prefer your Mocha, there is no doubt this beverage is designed to delight.
At your typical coffee shop or cafe, when you order a Mocha, you are apt to be served a hot beverage. This is made by mixing a shot of espresso with milk that has been steamed and chocolate. The only downfall of ordering Mocha for many is the cost.
That small detail can be easily remedied by making your own Mocha coffee drinks right at home. They taste like they take hours and are complicated to prepare, but thankfully, nothing could be further from the truth.
There is countless Mocha coffee recipes to be found. The ideal idea is to experiment with different variations and blends to find the ones that you like best. The great part about doing that is being able to taste all of the delicious concoctions that you come up with.
To create six wonderfully creamy cups of Mocha coffee right in your own home, you will need to-
Brew a cup of coffee using an espresso machine. If you do not have an espresso machine, simply brew your coffee as you normally would.
On your stovetop, heat up two cups of milk.
You can use any type of chocolate in your Mocha. Take the chocolate of your choice and place three tablespoons into your milk and stir until the chocolate and milk are blended very well.
Once the chocolate and milk are mixed well, pour in your coffee and stir the entire mixture together.
Keep stirring until your blend of milk, chocolate and coffee has reached the temperature you want it to be.
At this point, all that is left for you to do is pour the blend into a cup, and enjoy your Mocha coffee.
This of course is just a simple, basic Mocha coffee recipe. There are many ways you can personalize and change up this blend to create taste combinations that you love. Simply adding spices such as cinnamon or even flavored candies will completely change the taste and make other wonderful Mocha coffee beverages.
